Blown glass pearls were the earliest form of imitation pearls (it is speculated that the large pearl drops on Girl with the Pearl Earring by Vermeer may have been blown glass pearls), where tiny glass bubbles were painted on the inside with pearlescent pigments, often made from fish scales. They are extremely finely made considering the materials, and are very elegant on. They weigh 3.85 grams, the “pearls” measure 10mm, and the drops are 15mm long overall.\u003c\/p\u003e","brand":"DeHoop Jewels","offers":[{"title":"Default Title","offer_id":43761356963907,"sku":null,"price":1300.0,"currency_code":"USD","in_stock":true}],"thumbnail_url":"\/\/cdn.shopify.com\/s\/files\/1\/0621\/8445\/6259\/files\/IMG_4665.heic?v=1788650714","url":"https:\/\/dehoopjewels.com\/products\/pristine-19th-c-french-paste-and-blown-glass-pearl-earrings","provider":"DeHoop Jewels","version":"1.0","type":"link"}
