Emily Brade
I am a self-taught traditional goldsmith specializing in hand-fabricated jewels, including pavé and watercolour miniatures. I'm responsible for each step of the process, from design all the way to stone setting, which is why I like to think of my pieces as single author jewels. They are not always large or extravagant, but each piece is executed to exceptional fineness.
Based in Boston at the moment, I'm originally from Canada, where I studied social history at the University of Toronto. Later, I received an MFA in fiction from Boston Univeristy. In the past I've worked as a marketing strategist, a professor of English, a model and an actor, but nothing has been as satisfying to me as working with my hands.
