These antique dormeuse earrings are modeled in 18K yellow gold, with two flat old mine cut diamonds (approximately 1.2ctw), and a unique setting, where each prong is set with a tiny rose-cut diamond (0.20ctw). The central diamonds have chips to the girdles, and a few inclusions, which you can see in the photos, but are still lively. The rose-cut diamond on one prong has lost some of the gold around the tiny bezel, which you can also see if you zoom in. It remains secure in the setting, but could fall out in the future and should be treated carefully. If that were to happen I have plenty of old rose-cut diamonds I could use to replace and restore it.
These earrings have front closures, which means they thread through the ear back to front (Some people with sensitive ears find this uncomfortable). The hinges and closures are delicate, and would need to be treated carefully. I would easily be able to convert these to modern hinge backs, if desired.
The earrings weigh 3.16 grams, and are 14mm long from the top of the wire to the bottom of the setting.
