This antique brooch is modeled in sterling silver throughout, and features high-dome rose cut rock crystal quartz. It is large and in fine condition for its age. It was likely made as a button in the 18th century, and was converted to a brooch later in the 19th century. It weighs 16.7 grams. Please note: there is a small hole at the back where the button fitting used to be, through which you can see the foil behind the center stone. It would be best to keep this brooch from getting wet so as not to dirty the foil.
