This antique stick pin is crafted in 18K gold throughout, featuring a natural star sapphire cabochon of aproximately 6 carats. It is signed "Marcus" for Marcus & Co, an important American jeweler active from 1892-1940. The sapphire has a fracture on the lower righthand side, as pictured. It does not extend to the back of the stone, and does not affect the structural integrity of the stone, especially as a stick pin, which would experience minimal wear. It weighs 2.8 grams.
