This antique American stick pin dates to the early 20th century, made in 14K yellow gold (with a 10K gold pin). It has a "bloomed" gold finish, which means it has a layer of pure gold at the surface. You can see the true colour of the gold at the back where some of that finish has scratched off. The elephant has a friendly face and a tiny garnet cabochon eye.
