This piece was converted from a pink sapphire and diamond stick pin, using an antique French wedding band as the ring. The sapphire is just over 1 carat, unheated with a vibrant pink hue and slight star effect. It has a fine halo of tiny old mine cut diamonds (~0.25ctw), set in a cut-down collet style. The ring is 18K throughout, and features an unusual horse's head hallmark, in addition to a French owl.
The ring is in excellent condition, but is delicate and should be worn with care. The inclusions in the ruby could make it susceptible to chipping if it were banged against something hard or sharp, and the diamond settings are tiny and fragile. I would recommend removing it when doing chores, lifting heavy objects, doing dishes, working with your hands, showering, cooking, sleeping etc. Wearing it at a desk job is totally fine, and as long as you're mindful of it, the ring will last for many years to come.
It weighs 2.65 grams, and is currently a size 7.25, though it is easily sizable.
